Looking for a Good Book to Read?

Then, you've come to the right place! This is where I will post some of the best books I've read. I'll even provide the links for you to enjoy them as much as I have.

Charity's Cross

Mary Lu Tyndall

If I had only known before hand that this was the fourth book in a series, I would have read the others first. However, even though I've read them in the wrong order, that still won't stop me from reading the other three! I absolutely loved Charity Westcott's character in this book. Here's a small synopsis.

Suspected of killing her husband, Charity Westcott flees on the first ship out of Portsmouth, England heading for the colonies. Loathing all men after her abusive marriage, she hopes to reunite with her family in Charles Towne, but the ship’s destination is Nassau. When she spots her husband’s brother, who is intent on seeing her hang, boarding her ship, she jumps overboard.

Enter Elias Dutton, missionary and son of the famous pirate, Rowan Dutton . His sister is in danger, and his parents have charged him with her safety. He cannot let them down... again. But after rescuing a madcap woman from the bay, he now finds himself tricked into masquerading as her husband so they both can procure passage to Barbados.

She doesn't trust men as far as she can throw them and he wants a pure lady of virtue. Strange how God's plans differ from ours sometimes.

My newest craze is quite a strange one to me. I never knew I could love this romantic adventurous genre as much as I do.

In 'Dauntless' by Dina Sleiman, Merry Ellison, the main character, is like a female version of Robin Hood. In fact, her story is set in the same time and era as 'Robyn of the Hode'. Sought by the wicked King John for crimes that her father committed, Merry slips into the forest with some of the children from her village and lives for two years. Of course she becomes an outlaw and protector of the children.

However, her former fiancee, Timothy Grey, after assuming that she's been dead all these years, is shocked to see her alive.

I will not be the spoiler who tells you every detail of the tale, but trust me when I say that you are going to love this story.

This is the latest book I've read. If I had to describe this book in one phrase, I would say, 'Avatar meets Hunger Games'! Seriously, this book is amazingly well written by Christine Grey.

The characters are described so vividly that I could see them in miy mind like a movie. I absolutely fell in love with Darius, the strong, Breken warrior. Unfortunately, he was too busy noticing Dearra, his destiny. (LOL.) And since she now possesses a magical sword, I'll let her alone.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and click on the picture to download 'Breathe' today.

I must admit that this is my new infatuation. Dee Henderson's thrilling, suspenseful romances are making me beg for more.

I found this little gem in my local Barnes & Noble bookstore, on sale, and snatched it up. I began reading it that night, before I realized that it was the fourth book in a series. UGH! Of course, I had to hit up , my ThriftBooks app to find the rest of them. I ordered them and am now addicted to these types of books.

Here is the synopsis according to Mrs. Henderson's Amazon page:

Abducted at the age of sixteen and coerced into assisting the Jacoby crime family, Shannon Bliss has finally found a way out. She desperately wants to resume some semblance of normal life, but she also knows she has some unfinished business to attend to. She might have enough evidence to put her captors behind bars for a very long time.

When Shannon contacts private investigator Matthew Dane, a former cop, to help her navigate her reentry into society, he quickly discovers that gaining her freedom doesn't mean her troubles are over. If the Jacoby family learns she is still alive, they'll stop at nothing to silence her.

If justice is to be done, and if Shannon's life is ever to get on track again, Matthew will need to discover exactly what happened to her--even if it means stirring up a hornet's nest of secrets.

Trust me, if you start reading these, start with the first one, and you'll be hooked too!

A Borrowed Dream
By: Amanda Cabot

As an influencer of Amanda Cabot's newest novel, "A Borrowed Dream", I was fortunate to be able to read this book before it was even available to order. I couldn't believe my excitement when I received this book in the mail. Furthermore, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it! LOL. It only took me a day and a half to finish it, and I have to say it was one of the best books I've read in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy most of the books I am privileged to read, but this one struck a cord in my heart.

According to Amazon, here's the official blurb about it:

Catherine Whitfield is sure that she will never again be able to trust anyone in the medical profession after the town doctor's excessive bleeding treatments killed her mother. Despite her loneliness and her broken heart, she carries bravely on as Cimarron Creek's dutiful schoolteacher, resigned to a life without love or family, a life where dreams rarely come true.
Austin Goddard is a newcomer to Cimarron Creek. Posing as a rancher, he fled to Texas to protect his daughter from a dangerous criminal. He's managed to keep his past as a surgeon a secret. But when Catherine Whitfield captures his heart, he wonders how long he will be able to keep up the charade.
With a deft hand, Amanda Cabot teases out the strands of love, deception, and redemption in this charming tale of dreams deferred and hopes becoming reality.

Trust me when I say, you'd be doing yourself a favor if you ordered this book.
